Reciprocate

Many of us are surrounded on a daily basis by unexpected good will that we receive almost unknowingly. Many of us in fact do not receive it, but walk away in suspicion, arrogance, stupidity or even remain half-asleep.

Or perhaps it’s like these realities don’t conform to the more common pattern that we simply believe that we must deserve what we receive.

We assess the gift against our value.

If we set this aside, and imagine for a second what good will others have for us, and the desire that wells up inside ourselves to freely reciprocate, we might come close to something like the sensation of unfettered divine grace.
